The first consideration is always logistics. How do we get ourselves, our equipment, and our backup systems to the site without compromising safety or missing the light? This question must be answered weeks before the event, not on the morning of.

The third consideration is the couple's comfort. Remote locations are physically demanding. We design our coverage to minimise unnecessary walking and standing. We schedule rest periods. We keep water and warm layers within reach. The photographs will be better if the subjects are not exhausted.

When all of this preparation is done well, the remote location becomes an asset rather than an obstacle. The resulting images carry the scale and grandeur of the landscape without sacrificing the intimacy of the moment.
